I'm thinking of doing a new set of illustrations for the cast page. The current set is the "Nerd Rock Mix," with each character representing a song by a nerdy rock group (and, amazingly, only one is They Might Be Giants). For the next set, I was thinking of doing what I call the "Validation Mix," with the characters representing great moments in mainstream acceptance of the comics medium. These could include:

-- Harvey Pekar yelling at David Letterman
-- That a-Ha video for "Take on Me"
-- Rob Liefeld's Levi's jeans commercial

Can you think of any more good ones? Also, can you believe that I can't find visual reference for the Rob Liefeld jeans ad on the Internet? That's what the internet is supposed to be FOR, dammit.

Possible future cast page themes: J-pop ephemera, Broadway musicals, the cast as characters from the movie "Barbarella," and, of course, comic-book covers (although I only have a couple of ideas for that one).
